Established in 2001 Design Central branches outside the realm of normal graphic design services, uniquely specialising in the design and construction of interactive displays, museums and information centres. We handle all aspects of the project, from the research and initial concepts, to full design and project management services.
In 2002, Senior designer Synda Turnbull was sub-contracted to Design and Project Manage a large Interpretive Display at the Griffith Tourism’s Visitor Information Centre. This was to be the first of many projects of this kind, leading to other similar projects including: Recycling Education Centres for EnviroCom and the Sunshine Coast Council (2004), Ergon Energy (2005) and VISY Recycling in Brisbane (2008), a Recycling Education Centre, in Mont Dore, New Caledonia in 2011, and the Watt's Cottage Museum, in 2012.
"We have used the services of Synda Turnbull for several corporate images and brochures that we have required in the past, and she has always come up with fantastic results. Synda is an extremely talented designer who has an exceptional ability for interpreting and understanding a brief and coming up with more than one great option to consider. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone considering using her service."
