Earlier this year, Design Central was contracted by VISY Recycling to Design and Project Manage the installation of the VISY Recycling Education Centre at Gibson Island in Brisbane.

School groups of all ages and Community groups tour the Material Recycling Facility (MRF) and the Recycling Education Centre to learn how to recycle correctly, and be educated on the benefits of recycling to our community and the environment. Designing this interactive display and education centre was a great challenge, seeing the project come to life from concept, to construction and the official openeing on Monday 28th July.

It is important when developing this sort of the centre, that the displays are interactive and challenging, in order to maintain the interest of children using the facilities. We have developed interactive activities at each station to stimulate young minds. Design Central is proud to be associated with this important environmental education project.
